The Network Administrator manages, supports, and enhances the One Community Health network infrastructure, providing critical support for our healthcare services and staff. In this role, you will provide vital support for our healthcare services and staff, ensuring that our network systems are configured, maintained, and optimized for security and performance. The Network Administrator will also be responsible for supporting end-user issues when escalated under suspicion of a wider network issue or potential vulnerability. Please note that this position primarily requires on-site work with occasional travel to other OCH locations as needed.
Job Specific Functions:
Network Management & Configuration:
- Design, deploy, and maintain local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), VPNs, and wireless networks to ensure optimal connectivity and performance across all locations. Provide daily systems support and participate in afterhours on-call rotations.
Security & Compliance:
- Implement security protocols to safeguard OCH’s network and patient data, aligning with HIPAA, NIST, PCI and other regulatory requirements.
- Manage firewall configurations, VPN access, and network segmentation.
Disaster Recovery & Redundancy:
- Collaborate with the IT team to maintain disaster recovery plans and establish redundant connections (e.g., SD-WAN, ISP failover) to enhance network resilience.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
- Proactively monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Provide Tier 2 support for network-related incidents, escalating complex issues as needed.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain detailed network diagrams, configurations, and procedural documentation.
- Generate reports on network usage, performance, and security incidents.
Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with network hardware and service vendors, including our ISP and managed services providers, ensuring SLA adherence and timely resolution of issues.
System Upgrades & Patch Management:
- Plan and implement updates, patches, and upgrades for network hardware and software to maintain security and efficiency.
Issue escalation & advanced troubleshooting:
- Work with IT Team members collaboratively around operational issues, engage in design and implementation efforts.
Collaboration & Teamwork:
- Engage with IT team members on operational issues and embrace the mission and values of OCH while adhering to organizational policies and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in information technology, a related discipline, or a combination of equivalent education and work experience.
- 2 years of experience in systems and/or network administration.
- 2 years of experience in a highly regulated technological environment.
- Proven capacity to design, manage, and maintain critical network infrastructure.
- High level knowledge and skills managing and deploying network hardware.
- Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA Security and Privacy regulations.
- Knowledge of customer service and workplace safety.
- Experience comprehending complex technical materials such as reports, instructions, and manuals.
- Understanding of IT principles.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree Information Technology or related field
- Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
- CompTIA Network+.
- Fortinet Certified Professional in Network Security.
- other relevant certifications.

Compensation:
- Salaried/Exempt: $80,000 annually.
- Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
- Milage Reimbursement: In accordance with OCH policy.
