Join the One Community Health Welcome Team as a Receptionist!

Are you ready to make a meaningful impact on your community. One Community Health is seeking a Receptionist to join our Welcome Team. As the first point of contact for our valued patients, you'll play a vital role in providing exceptional service and ensuring a seamless experience. The schedule for this position is full-time, Monday-Friday, cover 1 Saturday per month (after probationary period), and located at the Hood River Clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Registration: Efficiently check-in patients, collect demographic and billing/insurance information.
• Appointment Management: Schedule and confirm appointments with precision and accuracy.
• Payment Handling: Receive patient payments and maintain accurate records.
• Communication Hub: Answer and screen telephone calls, deliver messages promptly, and provide excellent customer service.
• Independence and Initiative: Handle patient complaints, address billing inquiries, and take on self-directed projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Speaks and understands English and Spanish.
• 1 year of customer service-related experience.
• Comfortable multi-tasking in a face paced environment.
• Effective communication and ability to use multi-line telephones.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook.
• High school graduate or G.E.D.
• Cash handling experience in retail or office setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Reads and writes in English and Spanish.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Post high school education in office/clerical coursework.
• Experience working in a telephone call center environment.
• Experience working with low income, multi-ethnic populations

Compensation:

• Hourly/Non-Exempt: $21.00 per hour
• Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
• Weekend Differential: This position receives base hourly pay along with an extra $10.00 for each hour worked on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
