Dental Assistant Supervisor- The Dalles

Department: Dental Support
Location: The Dalles, OR

Our Team works closely with our medical and behavioral health providers to put patients' physical, mental, emotional and social well-being at the center of patient care.

The Dental Assistant (DA) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the clinical support team and
ensuring the provision of high-quality patient-centered care. A successful DA Supervisor will provide onboarding, ongoing training, and education to team members, supervise their day-to-day activities,
act as a mentor and coach and assist in their development.

Education, License, and Certification
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certificate or diploma from an accredited dental assisting program.
• A valid state dental assistant certification.
• BLS/CPR Certification
• Successful completion of OCH credentialing and privilege requirements.

Experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a dental assistant, with experience in a supervisory or
leadership role.
• Written and oral communication skills for providing instruction, guidance, and feedback to other team
members, as well as communicating with patients and other healthcare providers.
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to motivate and inspire team members, delegate tasks
effectively, and resolve conflicts.
• Experience training and supervising clinical support team members.

Preferred
• Associate's degree in dental assisting or a related field.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Compensation:

  • Hourly/Non-Exempt: Starting at $34.00 per hour, increases with experience/certification
  • Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
  • Weekend Differential: This position receives base hourly pay along with an extra $10.00 for each hour worked on weekends (Saturday and Sunday).
