Community Dental Health Coordinator

We are seeking a Community Dental Health Coordinator to provide direct patient care and support within a Patient-Centered Primary Care Home (PCPCH) model of team-based care. The role includes patient intake, processing, education, and triage, serving as a communication liaison between patients, dental providers, assistants, and other care teams. Additional responsibilities include chairside dental assisting as needed, quality control, performance improvement, inventory and supply management, equipment sterilization, patient records, and scheduling. This is a position supporting local schools as a part of our Children's Dental Sealant Program, and is primarily based out of our Hood River, Oregon clinic.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • One (1) year of customer service experience
  • Fluent bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Willingness to travel for events and between clinic locations, as needed
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, able to prioritize competing deadlines
  • Ability to meet team and organizational goals while maintaining safety and quality
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-based environment that values adaptability
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling sensitive information
  • High proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Epic, and other clinical platforms
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic healthcare setting

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Understanding of systems-based healthcare and interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Familiarity with HRSA requirements and expectations
  • Current Oregon Radiology Certification or willingness to pursue certification
  • One (1) year of dental experience

Compensation:

  • Hourly/Non-Exempt: $23.00-25.50 per hour, depending on licensure.
  • Bilingual Differential: Additionally, we offer $0.75 per hour as compensation for bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish.
  • Milage Reimbursement: In accordance with OCH policy.
